Abstract

Experimental study on ignition and burnout characteristics of furfural residue, lignite and their mixtures was conducted in small circulating fluidized bed. This paper mainly focuses on the determination of ignition temperature at different mixing ratios. The results show that the ignition temperature of lignite after the addition of furfural residue has a significant change. The flue gas analyzer was applied to tracking and measurement for carbon dioxide produced form samples combustion, and then the burnout time of samples was obtained. The influence of mixing ratios, bed layer temperature and particle size was analyzed. The results show that burnout time decreases with the increase of bed layer temperature and increases with the increase of particle size. The influence of mixing ratio to burnout time is different from that of the other two factors. In a certain range of mixing ratio, the burnout time of composite sample decreases with the increase amount of furfural residue. The experimental results show with the increase of bed layer temperature, mixing ratio, the burnout time of composite sample can be decreased.
