Hybrid Precoding Algorithm Based on Sum-Rate Maximization for Millimeter-Wave MIMO System

Abstract

In order to improve the performance of multiuser multi input multi output (MU-MIMO) system and reduce the computational complexity of precoding algorithm,a hybrid precoding algorithm based on sum-rate maximization is proposed.First,by maximizing the spectral efficiency,the Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) method is used to solve the initial radio frequency (RF) precoding matrix.Then,considering the inter-user interference,the initial RF precoding matrix and the digital precoding matrix are iteratively updated by optimizing the system sum-rate to achieve the final hybrid precoding algorithm.The simulation results show that the algorithm proposed can reduce the interference between users,the noise in channel,and have higher system sum-rate with better system spectrum efficiency,while the computational complexity is reduced.
