Exchange Visit Held to Boost High-Quality Development of Power and Energy Future

To strengthen experience exchange in journal development and promote the high-quality development of Power and Energy Future (abbreviated as PEF), a delegation from the University Journal Editorial Office visited the Journal Center of China Electric Power Research Institute (CEPRI) on March 13, 2026.

The meeting was held in the conference room of the CEPRI Simulation Building, where the two sides held in-depth discussions on the development of high-level English academic journals. The meeting was chaired by Han Lei, Deputy Director of the CEPRI Journal Center. Also in attendance were Wang Yi, Executive Editor-in-Chief of PEF, and editors Li Yang and Zhang Shuxin.

At the meeting, Han Lei first introduced the development history, journal portfolio and operational experience of the CEPRI Journal Center. Liu Weixing, Director of the University Journal Editorial Office, then presented the basic profile and development plan of the University Journal and PEF. During the discussion session, the two sides focused on key topics including column planning, role of editorial boards, solicitation of high-quality submissions, international promotion, publication quality control, training for young editors, and academic platform construction.

Zhu Tengyi, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems (CSEE JPES), shared the journal’s long-term publishing experience, especially practices in engaging international editorial board members, organizing special issues, and providing publication services, offering valuable references for the growth of PEF.

This exchange has further deepened the university’s publishing team’s understanding of international and professional journal operation approaches, and accumulated practical experience for the high-quality development of PEF. Both sides expressed willingness to maintain close communication in the future and explore cooperation opportunities in joint special issues, academic events, editorial training and other areas, jointly contributing to building world-class academic journals with international influence in the power and energy sector.
